Sorry, but I did not like Alchemy of Souls. Stop watching in Season 1. And was not surprised about what I heard of its ending. Ridiculous scenes. The Good Bad Mother, Encounter, Hotel Del Luna, Its Okay to Not Be Okay are the best K-dramas I've seen. Better than Flower of Evil. Extraordinary Attorney Woo, was brilliant! No ridiculous, or too far from real life scenes. Will watch the others, starting with Move to Heaven. Thanks for the recommendations.

I have only watched The Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 and the Arthdal Chronicles and enjoyed more the first than the latter. Next on my watchlist is My Dearest and Oasis, maybe also Song of the Bandits.

Having watched Korean dramas for 17 years, it seems a lot have been getting really dark and sinister which I don't like. I loved the old dramas which were great love stories, romantic comedies or the great Sageuk dramas and really good actors. KBS and MBC use to show so many great dramas but the last couple of years not so great, very sinister and boring. There are a few on the weekend worth the watch but not many anymore. Netflix has the good actors and story lines which I watch but you also get the swearing which I don't like.

Unfortunately you've missed one of the greatest historical K-drama in the last decade that aired on Viki, titled 'Korea-Khitan War'. Based on true historical events, this drama is a true masterpiece.Incredible cinematography, impecable writing and outstanding acting. It received a few award nominations as well including 2 Baeksangs.

I'm heartbroken that The Matchmakers isn't rated high enough for this list.

I like the kdramas between 2013 to 2023. But 2024 is the worst. I'm watching old serieses 😢.

In my opinion, not everything in 2024 is the same. Queen of tears is very good, though it can drain you so much emotionally. then comes Lovely Runner. first time in years watching a kdrama that i was so smitten by everything about it. from storyline, leads, ost’s. i kept rewatching Lovely runner. i was impressed with wonderful world’s first 2 episodes but was disappointed with cha eun woos acting later. so, really just because you find one drama so good doesnt mean everyone can relate to it. i am really hooked to the time travel story of lovely runner. this drama made me moved on from queen of tears. queen of tears drains me so much that i was so thankful i pickee up lovely runner after I finished the last episode of QOT. and now i can not move on from lovely runner. and each time i rewatch its episodes, it became funnier, lovelier and im so smitten now with the leads of this drama! my favorite is the first 5 episdodes. it’s very nostalgic. the highschool setting. imagine going back in time meeting your idol in his younger years. I also love the twists and turns making me forgive how awful the police are in catching the villain. 😂

Just can’t do the historical dramas - no tropes.

Think I might check out Lovely Runner based on the comments. However, Queen of Tears and Dr. Slump were rubbish.
